Discover the history of Manly's beaches, Cabbage Tree Bay Marine Reserve and the lesser-known sandy beaches on this circuit. Explore the historic artillery sites noting the World War II War Defence Structures and North Fort. Wander through Australia's Memorial Walk and the Quarantine Cemetery, whilst taking in spectacular views of the harbour. Detour along the path to Quarantine Station if time permits and investigate the historic surroundings and intriguing sculptures. The highlight of this walk is North Head Sanctuary - a nature reserve that holds significance to the Traditional Owners and Custodians, the Gayamagal People. Throughout this walk you’ll discover diverse flora and fauna, and you'll find it hard to believe you are only 11 kilometres from Sydney’s CBD.
