About the Walking Track

Follow Monument Path from the entrance on Prince Chares Parade past all the historic monuments to the Visitor Centre then follow the Yena Track to the Yena Picnic Area and return to the Visitor Centre via the Muru Track. Then Re-trace your steps along the Monument Path to The Meeting Place then follow the Budawang Track and Monument Path back to your starting point near a convenient café.

Be bewitched by the twisted banksias at any season and wildflowers in spring. The Banks-Solander Walk off the Yena Track takes you into untouched bushland. TFrom the Yena Picnic Area there is a wonderful vista across Botany Bay to Cape Banks and during the migration season, whales may be spotted from the Yena Picnic Area.

Public Transport

The hike is accessible by T4 train to Cronulla and 987 bus from Cronulla to stop 223134 Kamay-Botany Bay National Park in Captain Cook Drive, Kurnell. The start of the walk is seventy metres north-west along Captain Cook Drive. A trip planner is available from NSW Transport web site.
